Vandewiele Automation and SAHM to showcase next-generation doffing automation at Techtextil 2026

Frankfurt, April 2026 – Vandewiele Automation will participate in Techtextil 2026 in Frankfurt as co-exhibitor on the SAHM booth, presenting a major step forward in textile automation through the live demonstration of the KR1 robotic knotting system integrated with the SAHM CB1 winder.

From April 21 to 26, visitors will be able to discover how the next generation of doffing automation is taking shape.

Working together, the SAHM CB1 and the KR1 create a seamless workflow covering the entire sequence of operations: package change, pushing off, removal, knotting, transport, and storage. The result is a coordinated automation process designed to improve reliability, reduce manual handling, and support consistent production conditions.

This marks the first live public presentation of the combined CB1–KR1 setup, offering visitors a concrete demonstration of how integrated automation can function in real industrial environments.

Vandewiele Automation’s presence at Techtextil reflects the Group’s strategy to expand collaborative automation solutions across the textile value chain. By combining SAHM’s winding expertise with Vandewiele’s robotic and vision-based technologies, the partnership illustrates how machine builders can jointly support manufacturers in their transition toward smarter and more automated production.

Visitors are invited to meet the teams of SAHM and Vandewiele Automation throughout the exhibition to discuss the growing role of automation in technical textile production and explore future integration opportunities.
